Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to score a 10 for an Olympic competition. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci at the age of six. She would later become Romania's gymnastics coach. Comaneci was the first to compete for time in the 1969 national junior championships and finished 13th. The following year she became champion. Three gold medals were awarded in her debut competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972 that was held by the communist bloc nations. In 1973 and 1974 she won the junior champion in all-round competitions. In 1975, she won four golds and one silver at her first senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. The year was 1976 when she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and became the first woman ever to remove the bars in parallel with a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she was performing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her career in the entertainment business when she was in her teens. She began her career when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performances.
