Jenna Fischer is best known for playing Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television series The Office The Office, for which she won an Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress and Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance in the Ensemble Comedy.
Her birthplace and childhood was in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was a child who watched her mother, Anne performing in church plays. The experience instilled an interest in theater.
A trained theater actress, Fischer returned to her home base after finishing The Office. She starred with Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway show Reasons for Being Happy. Then she starred in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist play starring Greg Germann with Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
Angela Kinsey from The Office (the co-star of Fischer) and her real life best friend, Angela Kinsey from The Office, started a podcast in the month of October. It was titled Office Ladies. The show has grown in popularity and has been a part of the Top Ten every single week. The first year, it received over 200 million downloads. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She is the writer of two books. The Actor's Life The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide that recounts her experience from St. Louis to Hollywood in order to be a professional actor. She is also the author of Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends who were there (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) The book is an account of their most memorable relationship and their time in The Office.
